Select disk select disk or load statefile
Perform repairs start partition repairs (repair partition tables or boot sectors)
Disk related tasks perform tasks that affect the entire disk (surface scan, wipe or clone)
MBR related tasks perform maintenance on the MBR
Utilities use extra tools to examine the disk (disk editor)

[Perform repairs]  
Rebuild partition tables analyze the disk and rebuild all partition tables (recover partitions)
Rebuild boot sectors analyze a partition and perform repairs (rebuild boot sectors and repair FAT tables)
Return return to the main menu
   
[Disk related tasks]  
Surface scan (read-only) analyze the disk's surface (look for bad sectors)
Surface scan (read/write) analyze and repair the disk's surface (find and fix bad sectors)
Wipe wipe the disk using any of a number of methods. also known as low-level formatting
Clone duplicate a disk. used to copy an entire disk when a disk has bad sectors (to perform repairs on the cloned disk)

[MBR related tasks]  
Refresh boot code refresh the boot code that allows the bios to interpret the MBR and start the operating system
Change partition attributes hide/unhide/activate/de-activate partitions
Remove disk admin bytes delete the disk administration bytes (NT/200X/XP/Vista/7 only. used to let windows redetect volumes. use with caution)
Wipe MBR clean the MBR. all data in the MBR is wiped (bootcode and partition tables)

[Utilities]  
Disk editor start the disk editor that allows you to examine the disk in detail (for advanced users). certain advanced repairs can be performed from here
Verify EPBR chain list the current partitions and examine their partition tables. also allows editing the partition tables
Backup/Restore backup or restore the partition state. used to backup the partition info and boot sectors in case disaster strikes
Undo changes undo changes that were made during automated repairs or disk editor sessions. backup/restore can also be undone
Return return to the main menu

Contact information displays contact information, website links and the email support address
Create support analysis log create a log that DIY DataRecovery support needs to help you analyze the problem. always include this when requesting support
