Hi,
S.M.A.R.T. offered to do a full read/write surface scan, so I've purchased the license, and started to do it.
But it stroke me, that all this process will take a while ( 1 TB HDD, approx. 1953 millions of sectors).
So I've left DiskPatch to work for over 36 hours and still there was only checked 12 % of sectors.
And there is my question: is there any way I can do this surface scan from a selected sector, in my case it would be from 253 million to the last one?

Thank you.

Yes, you can. Simply note the sector number when you abort the process, or look in the DP.LOG file (the log will contain a message that states that the scan was aborted and this will include the sector address number). Then restart the scan, select "scan entire disk/manual" and enter the start address there.
