Hello,

Don't ask why. I need to undelete 7 TB! of deleted data from 6 X 3TB HDDs in perfect condition.
Can your software do that?

Thank you

Hello,

We don't support RAID2 *reconstruction*. If any array type is intact and accessible from Windows then you should be able to use any data recovery / undelete tool that supports the file system. That being said: The size of the data shouldn't be an issue, however the number of files can limit such software (including out iRecover). Per file an x amount of memory is required and when there are too many files the software may simply run out of memory. iRecover should be able to handle millions of files on a 64 bit system. if iRecover however can't handle the number of files you should be looking for a 64 bit tool (I think R-Studio is already available as 64 bit).

Hello,

I suppose you meant XRaid2.
Because Netgear's Xraid2 is in fact a RAID5 with auto expansion.
Please confirm there is no misunderstanding and that you do not support Xraid2.

Thank you

We support RAID 5. We don't support RAID2. I don't know much about Netgear XRAID2. To (virtually) reconstruct an array, iRecover needs access to all individual disks from a Windows environment. So it means directly attaching all 6 disks to a Windows box.

First thank you for the extensive explanation (now I have to visit wikipedia).
I am trying R-Studio at the moment but I am stuck as I am missing the following info
- Offset for every drive
- Block Order (Left Synchronous, Left Asynchronous, Right Synchronous, Right Asynchronous or Custom)
- RAID algorithm / RAID layout

I am still waiting for Netgear to provide this info but it's been 2 days already.
If you do have an idea where to look for that info this might help me a lot.

Thanks again

That is good but from your previous post I understand that iRecover does not exist in 64bit, right?
And can it run from WinPE from a flash disk?

Thanks

Hello,

Maybe this piece of software can help to get those parameters:
http://www.freeraidrecovery.com/raid-recovery-tutorial.aspx

I know the author(s) and can therefore recommend it. The software reclaime can parse the produced XML file + reclaime is also 64 bit.

R-Studio has a steep learning curve (too steep maybe for a one occasion data recovery).

Right.

For version 5 we don't have PE setup available at this point. We didn't try it yet.
