Accidently Formatted Laptop HDD with my Desktop

I was reviewing data on a 120GB Laptop HDD with a SATA to USB adapter on my Desktop. I was also formatting a older Desktop 250 GB HDD and mistakenly formatted the Laptop HDD. I was able to recover all the data with iRecovery but I need the laptop 120GB HDD back to being bootable in it's original form. I have done a Partition and MBR fix with DiskPatch but the Laptop still doesn't find an OS to boot up with when the Laptop 120GB HDD is re-installed to it. How can I get this HDD unformatted and boot like before?
