I used Diskpatch several years ago with great success.   However, now I have a new problem.  Yesterday, my winxp wouldn't boot.  It would go to blank screen after the initial splash screen and then eventually give me a blue screen complaining about an ntfs.sys error.  I tried many things from the windows support sites with no luck.  I have one 15 gig HDD for windows, one 150 gig HDD for files, and two 150 gig HDD with a striping raid for video storage.  I started disconnecting the drives.  With only the single 15 gig system drive connected, windows came up no problem.  When I shut down and connected the two raid drives (through a PCI raid card), I got the same bootup problem.  So now I figure it is something with the raid drives.  I started using my old version of diskpatch (ver 2.0.1).  I started a disk analysis.  It got 4 read errors and said about 3 minutes remaining when it locked up.  I left it for an hour with no progress and even the ESC key didn't abort it.  I went to your website and saw that you had a new version.  I have diskpatch pro and it looks like I can upgrade to diskpatch 3 for free.  I didn't have my license key so I thought it would give it to me if I tried to put one in.  Unfortunately, I messed up and now I only have the demo version (seperate problem).  In summary, I am willing to buy a new program of yours but not sure which one.  It looks like Irecover works with raid disks but it also says that it is windows based.  I can not get windows to boot with the raid drives connected.  Please help!

Just an update to my problem.  I downloaded the trial version of diskpatch 3.  I initiated a support log, and during the analysis, it hung up again at around the same place (at sector 442462230 of 480231044).  I waited a long time and eventually an error box came up saying it had reached the maxreaderror limit.  I ignored it and continued.  Eventually the test aborted itself.  I will send the log file.  Also, I got an error initially about the disk health.  During the disk check, both raid drives gave a 92% performance but less than 10% health.  I am afraid I may have physical problems with the drives.  If so, is anything still recoverable?  Thanks.

One last thing (for the moderator).  I saw in another post that I am not the first person to lose their registration key.  I purchased DiskPatch about four or so years ago.  I probably used an old email of blaine@stackoflapjacks.com and my last name is Pfannkuch.  Is it possible for you to check this and send me my code?  I am thinking of cloning the drive with diskpatch.  Thanks and Happy New Year!
