CHK-mate problems in Vista

Chk-mate can't locate the directory with the chk-files, even after renaming and ajusting the security of this subdirectory in Vista.
Second problem: Vista can't locate the chk-mate.ini file so I can't make any ajustments what so ever.
The Found000 subdirectory counts 2570 chk-files whith very important data(mostly .doc and .xls files) so I have no option than to restore what I can !
If anybody can help me, please do, I'am on my knees and very desperate !!!!!!!

Hello,

If you haven't already tried running as administrator, then try that (right click > run as admin). On pre-Vista Windows this wasn't required, but on Vista it may be.

Other than that there's nothing we can do. CHK-Mate is from well before Vista and we have never tried on it on Vista, and even without trying I can think of several issues it may have on Vista.

What do you mean by that? If CHK-Mate has not been run yet, there is no ini file yet.
