Disk Patch Dynamic Disks capabilities

Not entirely sure if DiskPatch will be able to work with my config, so thought I'd check here first:

1. W2K Server fitted with two identical WD250Gb IDE drives.
2. Upgraded drives to dynamic
3. Created a 20 Gb System partition on one drive, with the remainder of the space on that drive as a data parition
4. Mirrored the drives using the O/S
5. Machine subsequently (5 years later!) blue-screened due to a mobo fault.
6 Pulled drives - they show as dynamic but unreadable on XP, W2K and W2003

The FAQ/help says non-spanned, dynamic drives can be worked on. I'd assume that mirrored = non-spanned - am I correct? Although I need some data off the system partition, there's also about 7 Gb on the data partition that I want to get back.

Ran the trail version and it can only see the 20 Gb paritions, regardless of whether I do a quick or a fuill scan. No log to show you as I have no floppy drives!

.. while you should be able to import them normally ... it maybe wothwhile to talk to MS support ... and What's the size of the disks + are the OSes you try capable of dealing with those sizes. I am asking because it's not the first time Windows can't access the LDM at the end of a larger than 128 Gb disk ... all OSes need the latest SP + in case of W2k you need to edit registry, not sure about W2K3.

Anyway, if DiskPatch does not pick up that 2nd volume then it can not recover it either - it is strange though; normally that second volume will start right behind the first and DiskPatch should be able to detect it (during the quick scan). Alternatively, if it comes to pulling the data off being the only solution, see if iRecover can still handle the LDM. If so, recovering the data from the disk should be pretty straight forward.
