I have read other posts about this problem but have not been able to find a solution.
When I use the diskpatch boot cd I get the following message.

IO ERROR:Cylinder >1203
BAD OR MISSING COMMAND INTERPRETER
ENTER THE FULL SHELL COMMAND LINE:
COMMAND.COM /P /E:256

I am trying to use the trial version of this software to see how well it works.

any help will be appreciated

It is a FreeDOS incompatibility problem. Try this distribution, it has Win98 DOS boot files.

Uninstall your current version first.
