Ok, the story is this. I was busy in windows vista.

It crashed and i was forced to do a manual shutdown.
When it rebooted it had an issue  and kept on rebooting.

In safemode boot the reboot issue cam up with disk crc.

I tried spinright to get the disk checked out. With that failing they poited me here. I downloaded disk patch, but i think that was a mistake. It seems that he actual option i should have taken was iRecover.
After i did a disk patch partition and MRB repair, the data still cant be accessed.

It is a dell inspiron 1525.

I just need to gain access to the drive so that i can recover some of my files then i can do a format

Sounds like the drive is failing, so simply copying files from it and re-formatting seems unlikely.
Please post the following logs so we can take a look:

Given the situation the MBR repair wasn't a good idea, but we'll have to wait for the logs to see how things really are.

The best way to get data from this disk would be to clone it first, and then work with the clone. The disk should not be re-used, it's not reliable anymore. You can find info on cloning here:
