I am running irecovery on 9 disks that were configured in raid 5 configuration.
I want to undersatnd the steps this process takes. How many times does irecovery have to run through the step: Full - identifying data. This step took very long and after it was done, it started the same step again. I just want to know how many times it should go through this step. We selected Raid 5 Checkerboard.

Hello,

Full is one pass. Quick is a 2 pass, and after a quick it can decide it needs to do a full scan because not enough data was found. If a RAID needs to be reconstructed this is preceeded by a RAID scan.

In my case is going through Full more than once and it takes very long.
What could be the reason for that?

Hello,

It probably did a full raid scan first then. After the array has been reconstructed it's doing another full scan.

What's the size of the array and how many files/folders are expected?
