Both disks checked in the SMART log show serious problems; their health is below safe levels. I don't see the second disk from the SMART log in the DiskPatch log, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on there. Been swapping disks?

The disk checked in the DiskPatch log has read problems, mostly near the end of the disk. We can't say with certainty how bad things are, the scan you performed only reads a small portion of the disk. You could do a read-only surface scan to identify all the bad spots, but that may just as well damage the disk further. If you need data from this disk you should clone it ASAP. If you don't need anything from it, replace it.

Yes there was some swapping, to avoid writing the log file to the bad drive.  The actual drive I'm trying to check is the SATA drive, there probably is some data on it I could use, so I'll get a new log file and we'll look at that.

Log from the disc I was after in the first place, a Seagate Barracuda SATA drive.

I can't do the Support Analysis Log, the report stalls at Sector 16065.

I do have a registered copy of Diskpatch, but I was supposed to do the report first.  Oops.

That's essentially the same log as the first one; the SMART tool always tests all disks.
So the original advice remains the same, with perhaps a nuance:
If you need something from the disk the best bet would be to clone it first, then try to access the clone. You -could- try a direct recovery from the bad drive with iRecover (if normal access doesn't work, and iRecover is equipped to handle read problems) but obviously grinding away at this disk is not a very good idea. If it's only a few files though, and you know where to find them, you could save yourself some time by going the iRecover route, but not without risk.
