I have a 2003 server that has suffered a failed drive in the software mirror set (dynamic disk).  I am not getting a BSOD stop code 0x7b.  research has confirmed this as a failed drive in a software mirror set.

As part of the recovery I've read the boot.ini and/or MBR potentially need to be updated.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this successfully with the MBRTool?

Thanks

It doesn't sound like this is something MBRtool can/should fix. Please post where you read that info, allow us to take a look.
Usually in cases such as these you should look towards Microsoft and Windows own tools.

Thanks for the reply.

Although it is not an official article, it is ripe with relevant info to my issue:

The solution described in the article is both clever and functional. I don't think MBRtool can help you here.
