As I am booting from a bootable DiskPatch CD I get an error pretty fast that says the following:

Quote
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023
IO errer: cylinder > 1023

Bad or missing Command Interpreter
Enter the full shell command line:
command.com /p /e:256

Then there is blinking cursor.  Something the matter with FreeDos?

Perhaps, though likely.
Try this one:
http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/downloads/Demo/DiskPatch_Setup_w98dos.exe
It has the Windows 98 DOS 7 files. Make sure to uninstall the Freedos version first.

If a (or the) problem persists please post the smart analysis log and a support analysis log:
http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/dp_manual/guide_smartcheck.htm
http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/dp_manual/guide_supportanalysis.htm

And, if you need further assistance, please explain what the problem/situation is.
