Problem description
|
If there are many errors (anywhere from a few dozen to hundreds of
bad sectors) you should clone the disk. Cloning will make sure that
as much data as possible will be copied from the bad disk while it's
still possible to read that data. After cloning you can work on the
copied disk to finish recovering the files.
You can also use iRecover to create an image of the affected disk
and then recover files from there.
About cloning: depending on the state of the problem
disk and the amount of data that was cloned you may also need
iRecover to copy files from the cloned disk, if the cloned disk is
not normally accessible.
