Problem description
|
Slow disk access can be caused by a failing hard disk. You should
verify that the disk is in good physical shape before attempting any
repairs. Use DiskPatch to run a SMART diagnostic check and run a
disk surface scan to locate read errors. The Operating System log
files may also help you find out whether or not the disk is failing.
If the disk shows problems you can choose to try and repair the bad
areas (DiskPatch), clone the disk (DiskPatch), or copy the files
from the failing disk (iRecover).
